Six months after her arrival in the United States as a refugee from religious persecution, Mother Luisita wrote to the sisters remaining in Mexico,
"I am in awe; never have I encountered such good and generous people. It is God, Who has moved their hearts to help us."
In the Mystical Body of Christ, the "Friends of Carmel" are one with us in continuing the mission of Jesus in healthcare, education and retreat work.

Novitiate Sponsorship
Sponsoring a Carmelite novice means helping her spiritually through prayer and financially through contributions toward her NOVITIATE expenses. The NOVITIATE is a three-year period in which the candidate learns the Carmelite way of life.
The novices remember their sponsors daily in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, in the Liturgy of the Hours, hours of prayer, silent praise, and in all the joys and sacrifices of learning their new way of life in Christ. |

Our sisters strive to provide prepared and qualified sisters in all our apostolates: healthcare, education and retreat work.
Currently we have many sisters attending classes in order to better serve God's people. We thank you for whatever assistance you are able to give. May God reward you!

Apostolate Needs
The sisters seek to be at the service of the family for life. From teaching and forming the little ones to adult catechesis, through heathcare, providing for the needs of those who are most vulnerable in society...the elderly, and drawing countless others closer to the heart of the Father, through retreat work.

Our Elderly Sisters Retirement Fund
One of the most treasured gift within our community is the life, holiness, wisdom and friendship of our sisters who for 50, 60, 70 years, have given whole-heartedly of themselves in a life of self-giving love. "Life enriched by experience and prayer, becomes a witness to lasting values".
As our sisters age, we strive to meet to the best of our ability the various needs of our sisters. If you would like to be of assistance, your help would be greatly appreciated. |
